2023 BMW 8-Series Convertible Spied With A Light Facelift

Work continues on the facelifted BMW 8-Series as spy photographers have snapped a convertible prototype undergoing testing on the streets of Munich.
Dressed in the company’s trademark camouflage, the facelifted drop top will be getting a light refreshening that focuses on the front and rear ends.
While the disguise does a pretty good job of hiding the changes, it appears the model will have a lightly revised grille and evolutionary headlights. We can also expect a new front bumper, but its design is hidden from view.

The minor modifications continue out back as we can see revised taillights. There doesn’t appear to be any other changes, but the bumper could be updated as well.
Spy photographers didn’t get close enough to snap interior pictures, but previous images have shown the model will be equipped with a new infotainment system that features a larger display as well as smaller bezels. The rest of the cabin should largely carryover, but there could be a handful of trim and upholstery updates.
Engine options will likely include the usual suspects and this means we can expect a turbocharged 3.0-liter inline-six developing 335 hp (250 kW / 340 PS) and 368 lb-ft (499 Nm) of torque. It should be joined by a turbocharged 4.4-liter V8 with 523 hp (390 kW / 530 PS) and 553 lb-ft (749 Nm) of torque. Later on, we can expect an updated M8 and new M8 CSL.
Of course, we’ll learn more shortly as the facelifted BMW 8-Series is expected to be unveiled next year.
